This campsite has one of the few decent landings on either Rush Lake or Banadad Lake. Most of the landings at campsites on these lakes are steep and/or have deep water.
Instead of logs, the furniture here is the roots of the gnarled old white pine that stands over the fire pit. Probably better for the tree if you bring a camp chair.
Probably the best of the eight campsites on either Banadad Lake or Rush Lake. Great views. Cool fire grate position under the old tree. Two tent pads, one is pretty good. Great landing for lakes in this area. Rush Lake doesn't see a ton of visitors, so expect some peace and quiet here.
The fire pit faces toward the east.
Another view of the fire pit. To the right, you are looking back into the small bay that is just east of the campsite.
The poorer of the two tent pads.
This is the best pad at this campsite.
This campsite was on the edge of the 2007 Ham Lake Fire burn zone. The latrine is actually back in the burn zone, whilst the rest of the campsite was spared.
