The campsite has a good landing on a sloping slab of billion year old rock. The fire grate is well placed with fine views of Perent Lake, unless the wind is hard out of the west in which case the location around the fire will be breezy. There are four tent pads, but a couple of them are somewhat "rooty". Also of note is that there are two other nearby campsites (both on islands and both probably better than this one). All three of these campsites (BWCA Campsite 1000 and BWCA Campsite 1022) are within earshot of each other.
The landing is good by BWCA standards. There is another campsite (BWCA Campsite 1000) on the far side of that island that is just left of center.
View of the kitchen facing opposite of the lake.
Camp fire grate facing in the direction of the lake.
Root entangled tent pad number one.
There is a non-rooty spot here, but much of the tent pad area is full of roots.
For those who like a firm mattress, you could pitch a tent on this rock slab.
This tent pad back amongst the trees and is a tad overgrown from lack of use.
