Fine canoe landing on a flat slab of rock that slopes gently up out of shallow water. There is good shoreline access at this campsite. There are three tent pads, but only one stands out. Reasonbly good fire grate location. Campsite has good views of the lake. A high ridge rises well above the opposite shoreline. This campsite has the most privacy and is probably the least used of the three sites located on John Lake.
Solid landing zone.
The kitchen was in need of some remodeling, but otherwise well positioned with good lake views and decent protection from the wind/sun.
View of fire grate looking towards the lake.
This is the best of the three tent pads at this campsite.
This campsite is also fairly good, but has some rocks and tree roots embedded within it.
The tent pad closest to the water is the worst of the three. Still adequate.
John Lake's least used john.
View towards the east.
Looking straight across the lake. The Border Route Trail runs along the top of that ridge.
