This campsite is located in a cathedral of old white pines and cedars. The campsite is in remarkably good condition and not picked over like many others in this area. The campsite has sort of a majestic feeling. The forest floor is covered in pine needles. The site is shady because of all the trees, so insects may be a problem. Views of the lake are limited from the hearth seating area. There are two canoe landing options. Seating logs around the fire grate were in good condition at the time of last visit. There are three or four tent pads. A couple of them have a few roots growing through them. Trail to the latrine has a section that is a little rocky.
Except for a few rocks, this is a sand beach landing.
