This is a rather decent campsite that is just outside of the BWCA. Therefore it has a picnic table and doesn't require a permit to stay here. There are many tent pads. A web of trails expands out from the area around the fire grate to allow access to most of this little island. Several places where you should be able to easily land a canoe or motorboat.
This campsite is on the eastern end of a small island, just east of the BWCA Boundary Line. This view is to the east. On that point in the distance (center of view) is Campsite 2170, beyond that small island in the foreground. The canoe landing at this campsite is in good shape. This is the newest campsite (at time of visit) on Homer Lake, and isn't shown on some maps.
Since this campsite is just outside of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, it can have a picnic table.
View to the east. This spot can serve as another boat landing too.
Taking a look at the kitchen area of this campsite.
You have your choice of many tent pads at this campsite.
A rather nice tent pad is located by this rock outcropping.
The donicker. Modern and blends well with the decor.
Peering through the trees to the northeast from the trail that winds its way around the island.
View of the firepit from towards the rear of the campsite. This is looking to the east.
Another tent pad. This one has a bit of tilt...
Looking straight east at the skinny island in that direction.
