This is a relatively private campsite on what is an otherwise fairly busy lake. Tucked behind a small island at the eastern end of Caribou Lake. The campsite has a solid canoe landing. There are at least five campsites, the largest of them is well back in the woods. Fire grate setup is especially good, as it is perched up on a rock formation that provides wide views of the lake.
The canoe dock is good enough.
Kitchen view. This seating area is nicely shaded, but with an excellent view of the water.
View looking towards the water. The seating logs seem backward, since you would have your back to the lake. Bring some camp chairs.
High quality tent pad.
A nice tent pad for a solo tent.
No shortage of good tent pads at this campsite.
And another tent pad.
This was the only tent pad at this campsite that seemed like it could be bit uncomfortable.
Latrine, freshened up by a recent rain storm.
Thunderstorm clouds hanging over Caribou Lake. View from the campsite.
Southern view from the campsite. This is the very eastern end of Caribou Lake.
