This campsite is somewhat similar to BWCA Campsite 1721, which is the next site to the north of this one on Bald Eagle Lake. This site gets far few visitors than most campsites and is somewhat off the beaten path. There is only one obvious tent pad near the fire area. However, you can easily setup a tent in the sand along the beach. Fire pit was a bit overgrown and seemed rather weather worn.
Beach landing. Just paddle through the wild rice to get into this campsite.
Well protected kitchen area. This campsite is lightly used as evidenced by the long grass. At heavily used campsites, the grass is replaced by bare dirt.
Looking towards Bald Eagle Lake.
Nice tent pad right next to the fire pit.
Big #5 set amongst the foliage.
Wild rice growing in the shallows of Bald Eagle Lake.
