This campsite is very dark and shady. There are no views of the lake. In fact there is no access trail to the lake. Therefore, this campsite mostly exists for hikers. Some desperate canoeists can legally camp here though. To get down to the water, walk down the Angleworm Trail a few hundred feet to one of the other two campsites in the area and use their access trails to the lake. You could also walk down to the portage landing (just a little further south) in the rare event that either/both of the other campsites are occupied. The only tent pad is extremely overgrown. There is no log seating to speak of. The fire pit is servicable, as is the latrine. The path to the latrine is overgrown.
This was the campsite marker along the Angleworm Trail as of 2023. Note that this marker could disappear or change at anytime.
The fire grate. The sole tent pad is that overgrown area behind it. A moss covered log is the remains of what was probably a piece of log furniture.
Given how little this campsite is used (as of 2023), this may be the loneliest latrine in the BWCA. The trail leading here was quite brushy.
