Campsite walkaround. Most folks will find this campsite preferable over the other campsite on Ahsub Lake. This campsite may be accessible from a spur of the Old Pines Trail (sometimes this trail section is referred to as the Snowbank Lake Spur) or even the Disappointment Lake Trail.

View to the northeast. The landing at this campsite is at the bottom of a slope. You have to hike up the slope to where the fire pit is located.
From the fire pit, you have expansive views of much of Ahsub Lake.
Another view to the east. The portage to Disappointment Lake is just around that nearer point along the south shoreline (just slightly left of the center of your view).
There is only this one large area for setting up tents at this campsite. It is large enough to hold several tents though.
Don't forget the Charmin.
